But when I was tricked by a website which looked totally genuine(I was looking for some software which would convert MP3 files) It didn't defend my PC and I had a major spyware attack, windows opening up left right and centre, there was nothing I could do. In the end I had to try and get to the PC tools website and download Spyware Doctor (the best antispyware tool in my opinion)
So in summary be careful if the Microsoft tool is your only defence >-(
